National Corvette Caravan - Save the Date
About this event
Often referred to as the world’s largest moving automotive event, the National Corvette Caravan is a celebration of America’s Sports Car, culminating in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the anniversary celebration of the National Corvette Museum. Hosted only once every five years, the next event is slated for the end of August 2024 and will mark the Museum’s 30th Anniversary.
Regional caravans will form and join other caravans as they travel across the United States to meet in Bowling Green, Kentucky for three days of festivities at the National Corvette Museum. ODCC's Bob Meyer is the Virginia State Leader for this event, and ODCC will lead the Northern Virginia contingent of the Carolinas, Virginia and Maryland regional caravan to Ashville, NC. Additional details for the regional caravan can be found here: https://www.corvettecaravan.com/va-nc-sc/ and will be updated as more details become available.
It's still early, and more information will be coming soon, but the regional caravan's hotel blocks and Ashville, Sevierville and Bowling Green are rapidly filling up. If you plan to attend, we strongly suggest you download the regional registration form here: https://www.corvettecaravan.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/2024-Registration-Form-v3.pdf, and mail it in as soon as possible. Registration details for the NCM activities should be available sometime in October. We expect more than 300 Corvettes will take part in the regional caravan!
We will leave from Northern VA and drive to Ashville, NC on August 26th. There we will meet up with the caravans from North and South Carolina, Maryland, and other parts of Virginia, pick up our registration packet, regional T-shirt, and other goodies, and spend the night. On Tuesday, the 27th we'll subdivide the 300 or so cars into smaller groups, and cruise to Sevierville, NC for the night. Wednesday, we'll drive the final leg of the caravan to Bowling Green!
On Sunday, September 1st, there's an option to head to the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville (about an hour from Bowling Green). This is one of the most unusual car collections you'll ever see. https://www.lanemotormuseum.org/
A group of ODCC members joined in the caravan in 2019 and had a great time. Lots of good information provided by the Corvette team, vendors, entertainment. Seeing 7000 to 8000 Corvettes in and about Bowling Green is a sight! It should be on every Corvette owners bucket list.
